Harris County Municipal Utility District No. 383 (the “District”) would like residents to know about three different tools to stay informed about District events, service impacts and tracking household water usage. Community events, water outages and leak alerts are among the many notices delivered using these tools. The District urges each resident to take full advantage of these tools and stay informed. Keep your water bill handy. You’ll need your account number to access smart meter usage data and setup leak alerts.
District Alert System
Stay informed and safe during emergencies by signing up for emergency text alerts. These alerts deliver critical information—such as impacts to water, waste-water service, boil notices or other urgent updates in real time—ensuring you never miss important instructions when every second counts. Text alerts are fast and reliable, making them one of the most effective ways to receive emergency notifications, even if the internet or power is down.
Registration is quick and easy: simply complete the District Alert System sign-up form to subscribed for essential alerts.
Accessing your Smart Meter using EyeOnWater
EyeOnWater gives you secure, real-time access to your water usage data available online and through the mobile app. Conserve water more effectively by tracking your daily, weekly, and monthly trends.
Getting started is simple: visit EyeOnWater and create an account. You’ll need your service area zip code and your water account number, both found on your water bill. Enter your email address, create a password, and verify your email to activate your account. Once registered, you can set up leak alerts, track your water usage, and even link more accounts if needed. These insights can potentially help lower your bills and protect your home from costly leaks.
